Great food no b/s walk in joint. The younger guy working was really helpful with the menu. Everything tasted fresh and the general tso's chicken was bomb!!! Definitely recommend!
Next to Heritage Hotel. Great fresh NY style Chinese food made to order. Very small dine in. Delivery available and reasonably priced.
Do not order the General Tso chicken - horrible
The food is delicious. If you like Chinese food - go there and order some pork with garlic. Satisfaction guaranteed. :PIt looks like typical restaurant in China. So won't expect the place to be chic. But expect the food to be good and the servings to be gigantic. We didn't manage to finish our dinner for the 1st time. So we got the food packed for free and took it with us to the hotel upstairs.Worth visiting. Mmmm...
Chinese restaurant that does the trick for a quick satisfying lunch. They have a regular menu (you can order online) or you can go there and they have a food bar where you can pick 3 sides with rice for $8 (make sure you come before 1 PM or you won't have much selections!). The Pick 3 with Rice is the authentic Chinese food. $8 is decent for lunch in Manhattan for a decent meal. They speak Cantonese and English. They do accept credit card.
Very good lunch special deal, pick 3 courses with you choice of white/brown rice for only $7
Horrible food. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them.
I love good Chinese food. I think this is one of the better takeout spots in downtown Manhattan. Delivery is friendly and within a reasonable amount of time.
Vegetarians beware when ordering from this restaurant. I ordered vegetable lo mein and steamed vegetable dumplings in a group order through Seamless. The lo mein was fine but they gave me pork dumplings instead of vegetable ones. The receipt on the bag clearly says that the order was for vegetable dumplings but on the container, the order was written in Chinese. You couldn't tell that they were unless you bit in or cut them before eating. I understand messing up orders slightly but giving someone that's been a vegetarian for his whole life meat? That's messed up.Would never recommend this place to anyone and in fact would get people to avoid it.
I should've known to turn away once I walked in and saw the gray-looking meat behind the counter as part of their "pick 3 for $8 lunch special" but I was starving and craving noodles so I went with it. My friend and I ordered the pan fried noodles with shrimp...not the worst meal I've ever had, but not good enough to make me want to go back and try something else. There was way too much sauce in the noodles and we both feel nauseous now. Yay!
My go to lunch spot. A couple bucks and you're guaranteed to come out with a bucket of dope Chinese take out. Try the buffet for $8 or order off the menu. Quick and friendly service perfect for any day of the week.
As fresh and good as Chinese food can get.
Everytime I order here they mess up my order somehow even after they repeat my own order to me...
Good, standard Chinese takeout. Normal menu, reasonably quick. Food tastes good, no complaints. Cash only.
PROS: For a place in the city this is one of the more affordable chinese take out spots. They have a large menu all with good prices and the food tastes great! The people there are very nice and they get you your food fast.CONS: Make sure you take this to go cause it's cramped if you eat there. Also, there's no bathroom so you better hold it in. Its also very unkept back where they cook the food so I'm a little worried about the sanitation thereOVERALL: For a chinese take out place this does fill the chinese food cravings I sometimes get. Just keep in mind the food tastes great and the prices are low rather than the atmosphere you step into when getting it
Cheap food, maybe not the best food ...but excellent when you need something to eat in the lunch time ...even in this area, where the restaurants are a little bit expensive...This is the one window restaurant in the area.Good deal.
The food is very hot and fresh. Walking in it doesn’t feel super clean or organized, but it’s not reflected in the food or service. It’s very good.
Great costumer service, food is the best here!
As of Monday 5/18/2020, Taste Good Chinese is open for takeout! Store was open until 8PM today (Monday), not sure what their operating hours will be other than that. But, after a few months without Chinese food anywhere, I am delighted to have them back in my neighborhood with all the egg rolls, lo mein and fried rice that my life felt incomplete without! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire friendly staff who are braving the pandemic to keep us well fed😋
Horrible food. They gave me uncooked wings. They look albino. Also took an hour to deliver. Taste good? More like taste bad.
Good food friendly atmosphere right next to the 40/40 club
Terrible food, took an hour for delivery just a couple blocks down, stay away !
Horrible - Nasty - Old - Soupy - Disgusting after Taste.Dragon and Phoenix meal for $14.95 - This has to be the worst tasting take-out meal in NYC I've had in my entire life. I threw it away and called the restaurant to tell the manager of my horrid experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. They should change the name to Bad Taste
I only eat steamed vegetables and brown rice from places like this but it was fresh and 8 dollars so that was great for this neighborhood.
Absolutely inedible food. Looked and tasted as if they collected garbage and heated it up. Bok chow rancid and Lo mein with chicken and vegetables did not come with any veggies and chicken old and smelly. Run away.
